These Are the BEST Vitamin C Serums on the Market

Tried and Tested Vitamin C Serums to Add to Your Skincare Routine

According to yahoo business this week, the CEO of Ulta Beauty, Mary Dillon says that there’s been a huge spike in skincare sales and business is thriving. Other retailers like Blue Mercury, Sephora, and other online beauty sites are also seeing a similar spike in skincare. I just want to be real and put things into perspective for y’all. NONE of these creams or serums are overnight miracle workers. But having a solid and consistent skincare routine with the right products will definitely knock a good 5-10years off your face and skin. I can personally speak from experience. I’ve been on an endless quest to find the secret to the fountain of youth.

Want to brighten your bestie’s day? A vitamin c serum is a great stocking stuffer and a sure shot that she won’t be recycling your gift! Cuz’ you know we all recycle gifts we don’t like! LMAO. What’s so great about Vitamin C serums you ask? Only that they help firm and brighten the surface of your skin. It’s essentially, a skin booster that lightens pigmentation, improves dark spots, and gradually increases collagen production over time. Vitamin C also helps protect from free radicals that cause skin damage. It’s been a part of my skincare routine for many years now. Opaque packaging is key otherwise it oxidizes and loses its potency!

C E FERULIC: $166

This Vitamin C has won a handful of awards and is by far top of the line. Although it’s on the expensive side this serum definitely worth the investment. If you can splurge on a pair of red bottoms or a Chanel handbag…this is a drop in the bucket.

GLOW MAKER $27.95

I don’t know who the fu*k has time for 3 different serums, face cream, eye cream, toner, essence, facial mist …blah blah blah. I’m not sure about you, but I just don’t have that kind of time. Which is why I love The Glowmaker! It’s an oil-free lightweight all-in-one serum and I promise, there’s no greasy after-feel. I use my Nurse Jamie Uplifting Beauty Roller after 10 minutes of letting my skincare settle in.
How much to use: – anywhere from 4-7 drops for a full face. I like to go ham but you can scale it down.

Universal C Skin Refiner: $80

Now this formula is SERIOUS business people. It’s an award-winning formula with great results over time. It’s made with 20% Vitamin C – Stable. Pure. Potent. This guy is formulated to fade fine lines, wrinkles, spots, tighten and firm skin, and give you a more evened out texture…OVER TIME…..not overnight.
How much to use – Generally one full pump is enough. A thin layer is sufficient. Don’t go ham on this.

C-Firma™ Vitamin C Day Serum $80

This serum is great for sensitive skin so much so that I’ve been recommending it in many of my skincare virtuals and my clients haven’t had any adverse reactions. It’s made with pumpkin and pomegranate enzymes and acts as a gentle exfoliator much like a papaya or apricot scrub.
How much to use – think pea-size. The same amount I use for my retinol gel PM routine.

Biolumin-C serum $89

Dermalogica is one of my favorite brands. It’s been around for ages and the brand has put in a lot of research to produce high quality, affordable skincare. This is one high powered and potent serum.
How much to use – one dropper full

Olay Tone Perfection Serum with Vitamin B3+ Vitamin C $39.99

Olay will forever be a drugstore fav! Ever ask yourself how beautiful and flawless your mom looks at 60? At 70?… and all she’s ever used her entire life was either old AF NIVEA, Pond’s Cold Cream, or Oil of Olay. These oldie but goodie beauty brands are still around for a damn good reason. Trust me and trust them! Olay’s skincare research and technology is just as fancy as Estee Lauder and/or L’oreal. Don’t believe the hype and please don’t fall for the massive marketing campaigns.

Bright Idea Vitamin C + Tri-Peptide Collagen Protecting & Brightening Serum $27

Talk about affordable & safe! Everything I have tried by Bliss has been mild and gentle. Not to mention the fact that I haven’t had any adverse reactions, their Vitamin C serum is a no brainer for me.

I hope this gives you some better insight on Vitamin C. These are serums that I’ve personally used and really stand by. One piece of advice I’d like to leave you all with is:
Tip: When using Vitamin C apply 4-5 drops to your face every morning and be sure to stay diligent with your routine. You’ll start to notice a difference in 4-8 weeks. Don’t hesitate to book a skincare consult if you need sound advice.

Love you guys,
KC
